Suicide, Effecttive or Not?

What events would cause a high school little girl to self-annihilation? You might think a bully, family issues, or even a tough breakup. However that is not the case with Hannah Baker from the novel Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher (copyright 2007). Hannah commits suicide because of a snowball effect that no one knows about. Until they get the tapes. She made the tapes explaining wherefore she committed this horrid act. These tapes circulated around thirteen lot, including a instructor and her peers. Hannah doomd almost all of them for her decision to take her have life. You may wonder why. I concluded the reason for Hannah blaming them is because she didnt want to deal with her own issues. Blaming your problems on other people instead of dealing with them yourself leaves no benefit.
While magnetic inclinationening to the tapes the recipients go what he/she and twelve other people did to Hannah. One girl used her to get a ride to a ships company (chapter 6), one boy put her on the Hot list which made another girl angry and gave a teenage boy a reason to grab her butt (chapter 3). I was frustrated while reading the book because not a single person did something significant enough to really carry a person turn to suicide for the answer. That may as well have been the reason I found the book so interesting.




Jay Ashers style of writing is very realistic, suspenseful, and fascinate. I unplowed turning the page to find one huge flaw that a person made that would be reasonable for suicide. It never came. Then, when I reached the end of the book, I realized all Hannah did was blame her bottled up problems on everyone else. However she made the book intriguing by having the main character in the book, the one earshot to the tapes at the time, anticipating and wondering about when his part would fill in and when he would finally discover his mistake. Please, Hannah. Tell me why Im listening to this. Why me? (page 44). The tape with his story didnt come until chapter 10.
