Two of the greatest stories ever written be The filiation out of the brook of gatekeeper and The Tell-Tale flavor by Edgar Allan Poe. Poe captures a good-for-nothing mood so well in both tosh he tells that it makes you question your own sanity. He a lot repeats himself with signature themes within his stories. Poe uses common themes in both The dismount of the House of Usher and The Tell-Tale Heart which are clear-sightedness of the senses and creepy-crawly settings. In The F in all of the House Usher the fabricators friend, Roderick has a disease that causes him to have very precipitous senses. He suffered a lot from a morbid acuteness of the senses (Poe, 480). Poe uses this characteristic because it is unordinary and kindhearted of shivery at the same term. This is not the only narrative where Poe uses acute senses to creep out his audience. This can be truly beneficial but at the same time it can be a curse. In the end his acute hearing leads to his downfall. When the narrator in The Fall of the House of Usher arrives at Rodericks house it happens to be very creepy and scary. I looked upon the scene before me -upon the mere house, and the simple ornament features of the sports stadium upon the bleak walls upon the vacant windows(Poe, 476). Rodericks house is introduced as this induct that is unwelcoming and creepy. By doing this Poe sets the mood that follows throughout the rest of the story. As readers we are prepared for what happens in the rest of the story because of the translation of the house. The narrator in The Tell-Tale Heart kills an old man in his direction in pitch swarthy darkness. His ! room was as black as pitch with the thick darkness (Poe, 1).
