Final Exam Reflection I. 1. Character is caring about doing what is right, even when no one is watching. Kennedy displayed character by not wanting to go to nuclear war because it would cause millions of people to die. Not only did he care about the U.S. citizens, but he wanted to make sure that the Cubans and Soviets would live. He also showed character by personally writing a letter to the parents of the pilot who was shot down while taking pictures of Cuba. 2. Charisma is the ability to attract and please those who are both similar and different from you. Charisma allows you to build relationships and gain followers. Kennedy showed charisma by making jokes and talking to people at parties. He also showed charisma when he went to the events in Chicago and Connecticut, even though he did not want to. 3. Commitment is being devoted to a task or idea, no matter how tough it is or how long it takes. If you are truly committed, then you will take on any challenge that is needed. Kennedy showed commitment by spending all of his time working to find a solution to the missile crisis. He was so committed that he even lost sleep because he was thinking about the problem.
